As an expert in marketing global destinations to the North American meeting, convention, and incentive markets , Founder and President, Michel is proud to lead the MCIntl Team with Jacqueline Hewitt, co-owner.
He is an active member of ASAE, ICCA, MPI, PCMA, and SITE. Michel sits on the Global Advisory Group of PCMA.
Passionate about sharing his knowledge on the industry, Michel keeps a busy speaking engagement schedule. He regularly takes part in the Young Professionals Forum held during EIBTM in Barcelona. Over the past few years, Michel has been moderating the acclaimed session on “New Models of Cooperation” at the annual ICCA Congress. During his career, Michel has conducted seminars in Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Geneva, London, Paris, Johannesburg, Shanghai, Sydney to name a few, and, of course, New York on the North America business event market.
Michel holds a M.B.A. in International Business and a B.S. in Business from New York University. In 2009, he achieved a professional accreditation from DMAI as a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME). The CDME program is recognized by the destination marketing industry as its highest educational achievement.
Michel lectures regularly on international consulting at New York University.
Passionate about international affairs and political science, Michel spends his spare time traveling and reading, propelling an ongoing pursuit of critically examining how current events shape the travel industry.
He is also working on a personal photography project in an effort to capture and document the intricacies of NYC.
Combining her creative vision and innate ability to have her finger on the pulse of the business world, Jacqueline Hewitt found her calling in marketing and sales. As Vice President of Sales, Jacqueline oversees the activities of the whole MCIntl Team. Moreover, she is undeniably the glue that holds the Team together.
As a member of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and a native of Trinidad & Tobago, Jacqueline is knowledgeable on the Caribbean travel market. However, her expertise is not limited to only fun and sun destinations; having been a consultant in sales and marketing to several companies, including international clientele, Jacqueline is well versed in the arena of global destination marketing for both business and leisure travel.
With her astute business sense and an eye for detail and aesthetic nuances, Jacqueline has extensive experience in event planning for promotional and public relations events.
Prior to joining MCIntl in 1986, Jacqueline worked in the fiercely competitive New York City fashion industry. She began her fashion career in merchandising, often traveling internationally to source products. Drawn to sales, Jacqueline transitioned to a more results orientated role and came to manage a showroom with a 50 person strong sales team.
A business savvy professional and inspired by her travels, Jacqueline also built a business on exotic and luxurious imported home furnishings. Located in NYC’s trendy SoHo area, her shop BoHoCo – Bohemian Home Colonial – was featured in the New York Times.
Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Science from The City College of New York. She currently resides in New York City and Home Design continues to be one of her pastime passions.
Living in the shadows of the big city, Alessandra has always been inspired by the vibrant lights of the Big Apple — namely it’s fast-paced energy and the fact that it’s the epicenter of culture, creativity, and art.
With a thirst to explore, she quickly completed her B.A. in both Intercultural Communications and Cultural Studies in Boston. Not long after wrapping up her undergraduate degree, she set out to explore Europe and South America.
Now, as a young professional settling back on her home turf, Alessandra has become a skilled communications strategist and developed quite a repertoire; including work experience representing luxury architects and interior designers, as well as a range of consulting roles within the entertainment, art, travel, and real estate industries.
Her undying love for travel and tourism brought her to the MCIntl team, and she could not be happier or more grateful for the opportunity to put her international communication skills to the test, as she connects professionals from each corner of the world together.
When not in the office, you can find Alessandra on her bike, salsa dancing or admiring the latest art exhibit in Manhattan.
Born and raised in New York, Debbie attended The New School, NY without intent on ever leaving the Big Apple. Upon graduating with a background in Culture and Media Studies, our proud New Yorker took a quick hiatus to explore and travel to Asia. Before long she returned with an ever energized passion to continue work within the international realm of the events and travel industry.
Finding much joy in travel, and her extensive background and continued involvement in live events, Debbie’s fiery enthusiasm and charisma has allowed her to excel as a passionate spokesperson for destinations.
Debbie is not only a dedicated Business Development Manager here at MCIntl, but also a fervent boxer. She is actively involved in each community where her passions lie, truly embodying the strength in what it takes to lead and connect with others.
When she is not in the boxing ring or working events, you can find Debbie celebrating life and eating her way through New York City, if not participating in an organized weekend trip with her extensive network of family and friends.
Meghan, an upstate New York native, once aspired to be the host of the now retired Travel Channel show “Great Hotels”, so she could see the world and talk about all of her great experiences in foreign destinations. She is now manifesting her passion for travel and appreciation of culture in her adult life as an Account Executive at MCIntl.
Meghan escaped the cold for a degree in Studio Art from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where she was afforded the opportunity to study abroad in Paris, at the Insitut Catholique de Paris. She ended up back in NYC to pursue a certificate in Graphic & Digital Design from the New School following graduation.
Meghan’s creativity and diverse background in fashion, luxury lifestyle and experiential marketing has made her a natural in sales, having the ability to understand and connect with people in all industries, with a drive to stay up to date with current events and the latest trends around the world.
On weekends, Meghan finds time to enjoy the city, watching her favorite DJs and pursuing her artistic passions.
Around the age of 10, Soumia’s curiosity about the world outside of her suburban hometown near Paris began to blossom. She and her brother would together study geography and memorize facts and capitals, eager to know all that there was about every country and destination.
Upon graduating from high school, Soumia arrived in New York as an Au Pair to begin her journey and pursuit of travel and learning. During her tenure as an Au Pair Soumia completed her studies at the Long Island University in Brookville, NY, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with two bachelor’s degrees, Finance and International Business.
Before discovering hospitality as a member of our Business Development Manager team at MCIntl, Soumia worked in banking and the energy industry, and traveled to Southeast Asia and Australia after receiving her degrees. Soumia is recognized for her professional demeanor, an eye for detail and her insatiable curiosity, which has proved to take her a very long way. Connecting with people from all over the world and the multicultural aspect of our industry has proved to be most exciting given her inquisitive nature.
A passionate reader, Soumia can always be found with a good book in hand whether it be traveling on the subway or relaxing during her free time. On weekends Soumia is spending time with friends and family enjoying all that New York has to offer, in addition to planning seasonal activities and adventures to nearby hikes, ski resorts, and beaches.
Cindy, originally from Bolivia, was raised in Virginia starting from the age of two. She graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business with a Major in Marketing.
Before moving to New York and beginning work at MCIntl, Cindy previously worked at the Downtown Richmond Marriott where she assisted in setting up and coordinating with events connected with the Richmond Convention Center.
With her educational background in Marketing, love of travel, and past experience with event planning, Marketing Challenges International is a great fit for Cindy as she explores the industry, helping connect planners with clients in helping to organize their international programs.
In her free time, Cindy can be found jogging on scenic routes of her new city, enjoying meeting new people and catching up with old friends over brunch on the weekends. Cindy is also passionate about acrylic and oil based painting, which she dedicates a lot of her time to.
Laetitia made it her priority to live in New York and live her own American Dream after her rigorous course of studies, and a series of internships in France. Laetitia eventually seized her opportunity as a Marketing Assistant at MCIntl, and moved to NYC upon completing a Bachelors at the Ecole Supérieure de Publicité and Masters in Digital Media and Business Communication at the Institut de l’Internet et du Multimédia . Having grown up traveling and surrounded by all of the beautiful culture and heritage that France has to offer, Laetitia has a natural inclination for the vibrant city life.
Laetitia’s professional work ethic and sensitivity to the needs of those around her make Laetitia an integral rock on our team. Outside of work Laetitia can be found shooting photographs and spending time discovering new places and restaurants in her Williamsburg neighborhood.
Pierre was born and raised in Paris, France, but after spending one year in Florida as a student, in 2014, he made a promise to himself that he would come back to the U.S. one day. Upon completion of his Master’s Degree at the Paris School of Business in 2016, he decided that New York City was the ideal environment to have his first international business experience after completing a series of internships in France.
As a devoted follower of sports and lover of team activities, Pierre thrives in energetic, positive environments where he can find new opportunities to improve himself personally and professionally. Pierre rises to challenges, with his professional work ethic and team player attitude to achieve goals.
Having grown up traveling and being curious about the world around him, Pierre couldn’t imagine his life without experiencing New York City, the place where “everything is possible”, according to him. Outside of work, you can find Pierre working–out in Central Park or supporting the KNICKS at Madison Square Garden

Marketing Challenges International is always on the lookout for motivated, enthusiastic individuals interested in pursuing a career in destination marketing.
Strong candidates will have an interest in global affairs and a passion for traveling and learning about new places, cultures, and people. Candidates should also have experience in the meetings and convention industry or a desire to learn more about it.
A college degree and 4-6 years of work experience is strongly preferred. Strong presentation skills and the ability to tackle challenges head on is also a plus. And of course, a valid passport is a must!
