As an expert in marketing global destinations to the North American meeting, convention, and incentive markets , Founder and President, Michel is proud to lead the MCIntl Team with Jacqueline Hewitt, co-owner.
He is an active member of ASAE, ICCA, MPI, PCMA, and SITE. Michel sits on the Global Advisory Group of PCMA.
Passionate about sharing his knowledge on the industry, Michel keeps a busy speaking engagement schedule. He regularly takes part in the Young Professionals Forum held during EIBTM in Barcelona. Over the past few years, Michel has been moderating the acclaimed session on “New Models of Cooperation” at the annual ICCA Congress. During his career, Michel has conducted seminars in Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Geneva, London, Paris, Johannesburg, Shanghai, Sydney to name a few, and, of course, New York on the North America business event market.
Michel holds a M.B.A. in International Business and a B.S. in Business from New York University. In 2009, he achieved a professional accreditation from DMAI as a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME). The CDME program is recognized by the destination marketing industry as its highest educational achievement.
Michel lectures regularly on international consulting at New York University.
Passionate about international affairs and political science, Michel spends his spare time traveling and reading, propelling an ongoing pursuit of critically examining how current events shape the travel industry.
He is also working on a personal photography project in an effort to capture and document the intricacies of NYC.
Combining her creative vision and innate ability to have her finger on the pulse of the business world, Jacqueline Hewitt found her calling in marketing and sales. As Vice President of Sales, Jacqueline oversees the activities of the whole MCIntl Team. Moreover, she is undeniably the glue that holds the Team together.
As a member of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and a native of Trinidad & Tobago, Jacqueline is knowledgeable on the Caribbean travel market. However, her expertise is not limited to only fun and sun destinations; having been a consultant in sales and marketing to several companies, including international clientele, Jacqueline is well versed in the arena of global destination marketing for both business and leisure travel.
With her astute business sense and an eye for detail and aesthetic nuances, Jacqueline has extensive experience in event planning for promotional and public relations events.
Prior to joining MCIntl in 1986, Jacqueline worked in the fiercely competitive New York City fashion industry. She began her fashion career in merchandising, often traveling internationally to source products. Drawn to sales, Jacqueline transitioned to a more results orientated role and came to manage a showroom with a 50 person strong sales team.
A business savvy professional and inspired by her travels, Jacqueline also built a business on exotic and luxurious imported home furnishings. Located in NYC’s trendy SoHo area, her shop BoHoCo – Bohemian Home Colonial – was featured in the New York Times.
Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Science from The City College of New York. She currently resides in New York City and Home Design continues to be one of her pastime passions.
Aryuna, originally from Siberia, spent her formative years in Moscow. She graduated from the Financial University under the Government of Russian Federation, with a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Auditing. Aryuna worked as an auditor at BDO International Consulting Company, and later as a senior Financial Analyst at the Federal Agency for Forestry. Also a winner of the chess state championship and a graduate of music school, she has always strived to lead her life in equilibrium – with purpose and passion.
Aryuna has traveled extensively throughout the world, as she is always looking for new experiences and challenges. New York City impressed her the most and inspired her to begin a professional chapter in her life by transitioning to Marketing. After a productive period at a digital agency, Aryuna seized the opportunity to become a Marketing Manager at MCIntl. Her background in Finance and passion for Marketing allow her to bring a balanced and well-calibrated approach to her work.
Outside of the office, Aryuna can be found playing ping-pong, dancing street jazz, and biking along the Hudson River, while enjoying the bright lights of the big city.
Nikki, although born in the United States, was raised and grew up in the Philippines for most of her life. Graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Ateneo de Manila University, she focused mainly on video production, and public relations.
As a professional, Nikki has had experience as an Account Manager in a public relations agency, and as a Marketing Associate in a TV commercial production house. When time permitted, she also had the opportunity to work as a freelance Production Manager, further honing her skills in multitasking, teamwork, and management.
She, then, decided to take a short program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and that was the beginning of a new adventure for Nikki. She took the leap of faith, left home, and rooted herself in the United States – first in San Francisco, and now in New York.
Growing up in an Southeast Asian country allowed Nikki to conveniently travel to many cities across, such as Ho Chi Minh, Siem Reap, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Travel has grown to become a joy and passion of hers, and she knows that the experience and learnings that she will gain through her experience at MCIntl will further shape and develop her as a professional.
During her free time, Nikki can be found at the gym working out or taking a class, or catching up with friends over a good meal and a glass of wine.
Cindy, originally from Bolivia, was raised in Virginia starting from the age of two. She graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business with a Major in Marketing.
Before moving to New York and beginning work at MCIntl, Cindy previously worked at the Downtown Richmond Marriott where she assisted in setting up and coordinating with events connected with the Richmond Convention Center.
With her educational background in Marketing, love of travel, and past experience with event planning, Marketing Challenges International is a great fit for Cindy as she explores the industry, helping connect planners with clients in helping to organize their international programs.
In her free time, Cindy can be found jogging on scenic routes of her new city, enjoying meeting new people and catching up with old friends over brunch on the weekends. Cindy is also passionate about acrylic and oil based painting, which she dedicates a lot of her time to.
From sand dunes tucked in northeast Brazil to the endless golden temples of Myanmar, Stephanie fearlessly pursues her passions. While obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Marketing from Villanova University, Stephanie unlocked her passion for travel through studying abroad in Istanbul and Hong Kong.
Prior to joining MCIntl, Stephanie has had work experience in marketing strategy and consulting in education, lifestyle startups, and at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Her varied work experience equips her to transfer data to all stakeholders, and she is thrilled to now be part of a multi-lingual team with a united purpose of marketing the destinations around the world. In her current role at MCIntl as Account Executive, she is leading marketing and business development initiatives for Dubai to North American associations, corporations, and intermediaries.
In her free time, Stephanie is on the search for her next adventure. She can be found reading any book she can get her hands on, finding zen through bikram yoga, or exploring a new corner of the world.
A Nigerian-born/NYC transplant, Jennifer’s colorful upbringing has shaped her approach to problem-solving as well as adapting to new environments.
Her avid interest in discovering and learning about cultures led her to pursue a degree in Marketing and eventually, an MBA in International Business.
As a young professional, Jennifer has worked in the fashion and arts industries representing independent fashion designers as well as writers and creative directors. She also has extensive experience in event planning and strategic branding.
Her love of travel and adventure brought her to MCIntl. She is delighted to be part of a global and diversified team connecting professionals from around the world.
As a part-time Wonder Woman, Jennifer can be found during after-hours volunteering, indulging in art and fashion events around the city, writing a short story, and looking for ways to be a change agent.
A diverse background representing meetings, incentive, corporate and tradeshow clientele has allowed Kathy to establish deep connection in the hospitality trends. Shaping her career around her personal passions, Kathy delivers expertise in destination marketing as well as travel & tourism. She prides herself on cultivating lasting relationships with clients, industry partners and team members.
Born and raised in Hong Kong until the age of 12, Kathy is fluent in Chinese and always on the hunt for new parts of the world to discover. Amongst her favorite destinations are Brazil, Turkey, Mexico and Australia.
Travel and Tourism has always been a big focus in Kathy’s life beginning at a young age. It has since developed exponentially throughout her educational studies and professional career. Through her studies at Johnson & Wales University with a major in International Hospitality Management, she has further expanded her roots in this field through hands-on experience in hotel & restaurant management internships overseas.
When not desk-bound, Kathy is constantly in search of the next great story – from road trips in Arizona and Denver, to cultural retreats, festivals and workshops, combining her love of the outdoors and plant-based culinary delights through her travel adventures.

Marketing Challenges International is always on the lookout for motivated, enthusiastic individuals interested in pursuing a career in destination marketing.
Strong candidates will have an interest in global affairs and a passion for traveling and learning about new places, cultures, and people. Candidates should also have experience in the meetings and convention industry or a desire to learn more about it.
A college degree and 4-6 years of work experience is strongly preferred. Strong presentation skills and the ability to tackle challenges head on is also a plus. And of course, a valid passport is a must!
